Little Presque Isle Rec Area

Little Presque Isle Rec Area

Little Presque Isle used to be part of the Upper Peninsula mainland prior to 1930, and it is a great example of erosion. You can reach this oasis, which is five miles north of Marquette, by following County Road 550. This historic landmark is also a place to enjoy all year-round recreational activities. The isle itself is accessible from a low-wading sandbar in the summer for access to hiking, fishing, hunting, and rock climbing and an ice bridge in the winter for ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling.
